What we collect

We collect three categories of data: (a) website analytics — aggregate, anonymous traffic data via Vercel Analytics; (b) inbound communications — emails, contact form submissions, and partnership inquiries you send us; (c) field documentation data — only with explicit, recorded consent and only as described in our Data policy.

02

Personal data of contributors

When a community member is named in a dataset (e.g. as an elder source or knowledge holder), we publish that attribution only with their explicit consent. Personally identifying details that are not essential to attribution are not published.

03

Cookies & tracking

We use a single first-party analytics provider (Vercel Analytics) that does not set tracking cookies. We do not use ad tech, cross-site tracking, or third-party retargeting pixels.

04

Storage & retention

Inbound communications are retained for as long as the relationship is active, plus a reasonable archival period. Field documentation is retained under the terms negotiated with the source community. Analytics data is retained per Vercel's default windows.

05

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you by writing to [email protected]. Community contributors may additionally exercise rights described in the Data policy, including withdrawal of contributions.

06

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell personal data. We share inbound communications only with the AIAI team members who need to respond. Dataset licensees never receive personal data outside of public attributions agreed with the source community.
